I took a trip to Vermont for the end of the sugaring season and met with Stuart and Margaret Osha of Turkey Hill Farm. They still gather sap with friends using a pair of horses. It was nice to stand in a sugar bush and hear nothing but the feet of the horses and the drum like sound of the drops of sap falling into the galvanized buckets.

A dark night driving into the south rim of the Grand Canyon. I’m now one week out from leaving the Mercury News and San Francisco.
So far we’ve been to Santa Cruz, Los Angeles, Claremont, Death Valley, Las Vegas and taken the roads- 101, 17, rio del mar, 405, 134, 210, Padua, 15, 127, 190, 187, blue diamond, Las Vegas Blvd, 215, 93, 40, and now 64. Continue reading

After asking Moore to stand of a portrait of my own I stayed around and watched as another photographer took his picture. Our lighting setups were quite different. I was also amazed to see that this photographer was shooting film.
